Peggy was in La Plata yesterday looking at Noro's beautiful new Tanabata and wondering what to knit with it. Nettie would, of course, be perfect to show off its nubbly texture. But Peggie wanted a summer shell, so we kept looking. Then I remembered Nanette, a lovely little top with a square neck that you the pattern shows drawn up in the center to give it a sweetheart neckline. The gauge is perfect too. In case you hate this neckline, you can keep it as a square, or you can make it into a round or scoop neck. When you get to the neck bind-off, instead of binding off the entire amount, bind off half as many and then decrease the remaining stitches one stitch at each neck edge every right side row.
