Ever since I showed this on the Ikigai Trunk Show video and mentioned it in the Boring Knits video, everyone has loved it, Even me, and you know I'm not a top down girl. But this construction is like the Terrazzo, which I was happy with, so I'm going to give it a go. And I'm going to use Ikigai Paka Washi.
There are tons of yarns in the shop that would work for Poppy, but as I've said many times, spring sweaters need to be warm fibers in a soft bright palette. This weekend in Seattle, where crowds brilliant tulips defied 50 degree highs, fortified my stand on this point, The cotton sweaters I brought were not nearly warm enough.
So, this is what I've selected for my Poppy Tee.
I've already swatched it once so I'm going to cast on and get started. I want to actually be a little ahead when we do our cast on party Sunday, May 4th.
As I said, there are tons of yarns in the shop you can use for this besides Paka Washi. If you run warm, you might really like a cotton for it. I can absolutely recommend several, including Cotton Trio, Noro Sonata, Cotton Glace, and others
