What to knit??? I'm already tired of my winter knits but it's too early for me to get excited about summertime.  I'm looking at transitional pieces now.  Sweaters that works for chilly mornings but aren't too warm for sunny afternoons. Things I can slip on and off in fabrics that breathe, and colors that speak to my heart's longing for springtime.

    Lovely Cecelia is perfect

Two shots of a dark haired model wearing a long pink knitted duster in pale pink. She is holding the garment together in the front in the first picture. In the second picture she is turned to show the stitch work on the garment

Yes, I know it's long, and it looks like a lot of knitting, but it's at a gauge of 16 stitches to 4", so you know it will work up fast. Plus it's an interesting knit. And Rowan Four Seasons Cotton is super budget friendly.  You could knit this for about $160.

If Cecelia is too much of a commitment, check out Luna

Model with long blond hair wearing a slouchy, long sleeved blue sweater with a cowl neck. She's wearing jeans and is sitting on a gray chair with her knees bent
I have been kind of obsessed with Luna for a while, with its relaxed shape and mix of garter and stockinette.  Designed by Quail Studio, it's super easy and stylish. Also worked at a gauge of 16 stitches per 4 inches, it would be ideal for Four Seasons Cotton, and you know you could whip up in just a couple of weeks.
Rowan Four Season's yarn would also be perfect in another of my favorite but lesser known patterns, Que Sera.
Brunette model wearing a purple lacy jewel-neck cardigan sweater unbuttoned at the neck.
I knit this many years ago, and I still get compliments every time I wear it.  It's the exact right gauge for Four Seasons Cotton, and is a fun knit for anyone who enjos a bit of lace. The body is knit in one piece, and the sleeves are knit separately and set in.
Any of these sweaters, worked in Four Seasons Cotton would be perfect now, and really all year round.

Join me this week on YouTube for a look at the Edition series by Quail Studio which includes the Cecelia pattern and several other designs you'll love.

I live in AZ and I’ve been thinking a lot about cotton yarn. It’s hot here in spring and summer. I now have 5 different skeins of cotton (some blends) that I’ve ordered online and swatched (lang Sakura, Debbie bliss dulcie, four seasons , cascade cantata, berroco modern cotton and a knit picks ) Rowan Four Seasons is one of them. I like the twist of it and it’s fun to knit. But the pinkish color is dull and more flesh color than pink to me. I live where there are very few yarn stores so I order on line. I’m kind of discouraged right now about what to order and try next. Suggestions?
