    Untwisting the mysteries of Cables

    Are you ready to elevate your knitting skills and master the timeless beauty of cables? At our Winter Retreat Cable Workshop, you'll learn everything you need to create stunning, textured designs. Whether you're new to cables or looking to refine your technique, this workshop is perfect for you!

    Everyone's favorite technical knitting genius, Ginni Stein will lead this workshop. Check out the fabulous cabled vest she did on size 1 needles with short rows and a gazillion different cable patterns.  She's brilliant...just sayin'

    What You’ll Learn in This Hands-On Workshop:

    2. Dive into 2-Stitch Cables Perfect your right and left twist cables for elegant, understated designs.

    The retreat begins Friday evening at 5pm with a wine and cheese reception, followed by dinner together at The Front Porch. After dinner we’ll gather at the shop for dessert, knitting, and a few fun games.     

    Saturday morning we'll have the first half of our workshop, then we'll break for a yummy catered lunch and finish the workshop Saturday afternoon. 

    We should have plenty of time for Q&A and knitting afterwards. If you have projects to work on, bring them along, 

    Everyone is on her own for dinner Saturday night. We have lots of great restaurants in town, from NY style pizza at The Slice House to trendy upscale dining at Sweetbay.  

    Sunday we’ll have a Show and Share Champagne brunch at the shop - always a highlight of the retreat - bring your best Finished Objects to show off - you'll never have a more appreciative audience!  If you don't have to rush off, feel free to hang out at the shop and knit or visit the town.

    I've reserved a block of rooms so you can choose whether you want to stay in town or head home and sleep in your own bed each night.  There are 15 rooms in our hotel block - a mix of king and double rooms.  You can book your room here  The rate is available for Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night.  Be sure to indicate how many nights you would like to book at the special rate.

    It's going to be wonderful! 

    After you register for the retreat, you'll receive an email with a link to a Google sheet so you can let me know your dinner preferences for Friday, and any dietary restrictions you have, and how I can make this retreat super special for you.

    Retreat is 21-23 February.

    Schedule

    Friday - arrive in Leonardtown and explore our beautiful little town. Check in to your hotel, and see the area.  

    • 5:00 pm Reception at Crazy for Ewe - join us at the shop for a glass of wine and a nibble
    • 6:00 Dinner at The Front Porch
    • 8:00 Dessert, games, and knitting at Crazy for Ewe. 

    Saturday

    • 9:00 am arrive at shop
    • 9:30 - Part 1 of workshop
    • 12:30 Break for Lunch
    • 1:30 Part 2 of workshop
    • 4:30 Workshop finished
    • On our own for dinner

    Sunday

    • 9:30 arrive at shop
    • 10:00 Show and Share Champagne Brunch
