If you're new to the shop, you may be wondering, "What is a mystery Knitalong?" In its purest form, it's where you sign up to knit something, but you don't know exactly what that something is. A mystery knitalong is an act of faith. Signing up is a statement that you trust someone enough to follow them on a trip to you-don't-know-where through all manner of you-don't-know-what.
That can be a bot scary. but I promise that the trip will be fun, and the end product will be fabulous. Not weird, not wacky wonderful. Our own Mary, in collaboration selected the project, and everyone always loves whatever Mary is knitting. Plus, she'll be your cheerful and helpful guide throughout.
Another reason to love a mystery knit is that it's really nice sometimes, to cede control. You don't have to choose the yarn or the project. Someone else has not only selected the project, but dyed the yarn specifically for this project, so we know it will be perfect.
This yarn is really fabulous too - dyed by our own exclusive hand-dyer, Nicole Van Kuiken, of Tea Time Fibers, it is wonderful. We're excited to offer three beautiful combinations in a fun fingering weight yarn with the subtlest of tweed.
You'll get a clue each week - so there's only a small section to be done at a time.
Let yourself be surprised and delighted with this shawl project - you'll be so glad you did. Order your mystery shawl kit here
Warmly,
Ellen
