    Leonardtown Sidewalk Sale

I've always considered September a kind of New Year - obviously, it's the start of the school year, but more importantly, it's the start of the knitting season!  We've planned tons of fun things at the shop for this month, and I'm super excited about them.  This Friday is our Bra Salon trip.  There's no better way to start sweater weather than by finding a bra that fits and flatters - it makes a difference in everything you wear.

Saturday is Leonardtown's annual Sidewalk Sale - businesses all around town will have great deals, so be sure to come scoop them up.  We'll have super savings on summer yarns which you should scoop up for a terrific transitional top you can wear now through October - I'm thinking something like Amy Herzog's Bourrasque, a lovely A-line top with a wide neck and 3/4 sleeves.  It works by itself with pants, and under a jacket later this season.

Shibui Trunk Show at Fall FestMark your calendars for Fallfest, Saturday, September 23rd at Crazy for Ewe.  This is an all-day celebration to welcome Sweater Weather.  The headliner is the gorgeous Shibui Trunk Show and their newest fiber, Birch.  This trunk show features the most spectacular garments I've seen - ever.  Probably sounds like hyperbole, but I mean it.  Designer Shellie Anderson has put together a knock-out collection that's both chic and flattering.  I'd love to show you the designs, but we're all sworn to secrecy until the official launch later this week.

Come see the fun new accessories from Lantern Moon and Della Q.  You'll have a chance to sample the new yarns from Shibui, Mirasol, Berroco, Willow Tree Fibers, and Hazel Knits.  There'll be yarn tastings throughout the day, door prizes every hour, and grand prize drawings for a Shibui kit and one for interchangeable needles.  Lots of fun all day!

I look forward to seeing you in the shop (or on the sidewalk) and at Fallfest!  You are always welcome here!

    ~Ellen
