My son Johnny got engaged Saturday night. We are all so happy for him and his fiancé Phoebe. He wanted a grand engagement moment they could both have as a treasured memory. I get that. It's a special, once-in-a-lifetime event.

But good marriages are not made up of grand events. Sure, there are special occasions, but it's the thoughtful words of affirmation and tiny kind gestures, day in and day out, that form healthy and loving relationships.

This is the power of habit - the small, consistent acts we take that create the whole of our lives. Knitters know this especially. Even super bulky sweaters that seem to knit up over night happen one stitch at a time. Everything is patiently crafted bit by bit, slowly and steadily, creating the fabric of our lives.

In life, in knitting, and in the shop. While those occasional $1500 sales are exhilarating, but they are few and far between. The truth is that it is not those big sales that keep the shop open. What allows Crazy for Ewe to exist is you, my regular loyal customers. Those of you who come to our events and purchase a little something almost every week. Those of you who buy a project a month. It is you Club Crazy for Ewe members who commit to just $35 in return for resources, live help, and community.

In any relationships, it isn't just the giving and receiving of kindnesses, or the give and take of services, it is the recognition and appreciation of such. It is essential that we note and value one another and the importance of what we each care for in the other.

So, thank you for your steady patronage, your loyalty, and your support the shop and the community around it.

I see you, I appreciate you, and I thank you.

    Warmly,

    Ellen
