Starting a sweater is so fun and exciting--envisioning the garment, selecting just the right yarn and color, casting on and making fast progress.  But when all the pieces are bound off, there's still a lot to do before it's ready to wear.  You have to block all the pieces making sure everything is the right size and shape.  You have to seam the pieces, which is a whole other craft, and  you have to pick up stitches and do the edging.  Then, of course, there's the dreaded weaving in of ends.

Moving is kind of like that.  We were excited to choose our the layout, pick flooring, and decide on paint.  Even boxing things up and scheduling the utility transfers was kind of fun. The movers were great, and now all the yarn, needles, furniture, and fixtures are in the new space.  All the little treasures that make Crazy for Ewe special are here too, but it's like those newly bound off pieces.  There's still a tons to do before we're finished.

There are no shortcuts in knitting or moving.  We're working with intention and care because it's the finishing that transforms the good into gorgeous.

That's where we are now--hanging racks, shelving yarn, and finding a new way to make our space feel as warm and welcoming as it always has.  Because Crazy for Ewe is more than a place for yarn, it's a place to create beautiful knitting and beautiful connections.

We're opening today with our pieces just clipped together, and that's okay - we're all friends here.  We'll be fully ready April 5th for our Grand Reopening.

Even then, there may still be a few ends to weave in, but it will still be wonderful!  I hope you'll join us for a fabulous event with cake and yarn tastings, and fabulous fun and prizes.

Whether you're joining us in our new space, or participating in the Crazy for Ewe community virtually, you are always welcome here.  🥰

    Warmly,

    Ellen
