At the risk of sounding like a Burger King commercial, I'll go ahead and say it.  Have your way!  It's your sweater, and it should be perfect for you. If you want to do the sweater class that starts this Saturday but you're not jazzed about the sweater I featured in the class promo, that's totally fine.  I just used that photo because that's the sweater I'll be making, but you can choose any Custom Fit sweater you like.  This class is about knitting a sweater you love, so you've got to start with a style you love.  There are lots of designs in the Custom Fit Program for you to choose from, or you can tell me what you want in your sweater, and we'll get a pattern that's just right.  With the Custom Fit Program you can have anything you want, but it's kind of important to know what you want.   Not sure what you want?

Here are 4 steps to help you find a perfect Custom Fit Sweater design:

    1. Gather up your favorite sweaters. What do you love about them?  Are they cardigans or pullovers? How long are the sleeves?  What kind of neckline do they have?  Where do they hit you on your body?  Are they close-fitting or relaxed?  What kind of fabric are they?  What color are they? This is good information.  Write it down.
    2. Dig out the sweaters you don't love. They'll give you even better information.  While it can be hard to pinpoint what we love about something, it's pretty easy to identify what we loathe.  What is it about these sweaters that keep you from choosing to wear them?  Are they too long or short?  Are the armholes too tight?  Is the neckline unflattering?  You'll know as soon as you put it on.  Write it down.
    3. Think about your lifestyle. If you're a one-step-laundry girl, and everything from jeans to underwear goes in the same load of wash and straight into the dryer, be sure to choose an easy-care yarn.  There are tons of beautiful fibers that can take exactly that kind of treatment, and there are plenty of others that cannot.  We'll help you find the yarn that's right for the way you live.
    4. Choose your Custom Fit pattern, or let us help you design your own. It's not as scary as it sounds - especially if you've take the time to figure out what you like and what works with your body and your personal style.  There are lots of choices, but we'll help you with them so that you'll create something beautiful you'll love to wear and be proud to say you knitted it yourself!

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, join us for the 6-week Custom Fit Sweater class starting this Saturday.  You can do this, we'll help.

I look forward to seeing you in the shop and around the table. You are always welcome here.

    Ellen
