We had a wonderful time with Christine Forester of Aalta Yarn on Saturday.  She brought tons of beautiful samples to show us, including the Easy Folded Poncho from Churchmouse which highlights Aalta Truth's beautiful soft drape. Truth is a great yarn right in that sweet spot where softness, structure, durability, and drape intersect.  The softness and drape of the alpaca combined with the structure of the merino and a specially designed spin ensure that Truth feels great and holds its shape.  Truth also resists pilling, thanks to its specially designed spin.  You'll enjoy a Truth garment for years to come

Also, the Duotone Cowl is super fun worked in the round using two colors of Truth.

A free pattern on Ravelry,  Duotone is super easy to knit, but its varying stripe widths make it interesting and fun.  Christine's sample features two shades of gray, but you could do it any two colors that suit your fancy.  How about gray and acid green?  That's always a fresh look.  Or, hmmm, dare I suggest the Raspberry?  You know I can't resist that beautiful pink!

We're freshly stocked in all the colors of Aalta Truth, so come by and pick up a couple skeins for your own Duotone cowl - that's all it takes!

Oh, yes - before I forget - congratulations to the winners of our two Aalta gift basket door prizes - Amelia Dudley and Nicole Van Kuiken!  Enjoy these beautiful baskets filled with Aalta goodies!
