It's after midnight, and my whole family is in bed. I should be in bed too, but I have company on my mind. The Fibre Company to be precise. Margie was in the shop this afternoon asking about two of their fibers, and she got me thinking about it. We have their Acadia in the shop, and it is gorgeous. Rich but subtle colors. A lovely blend of baby alpaca flecked with soft silken slubs. It's textural without being busy. It's been on my mind all day--I can't shake it. Tonight, standing there in my pajamas brushing my teeth, I had an overwhelming desire need to knit something in Acadia.
You know what I did, don't you. You don't need me to tell you that it's way past any sane person's bedtime and I am poring over Ravelry. Twenty-nine pages of projects worked in Acadia. I finally decide I need to knit a shawl. But which one? Quaking Aspen keeps popping up. It was designed specifically for this yarn, afterall, and it has a wonderful two color band with a lovely lace edging. A definite possibility. Then I spied Margaretha. A beautiful design, but written for a much finer yarn. I could definitely work it on a larger needle and just have a bigger wrap. In my opinion, for wraps, bigger is absolutely better. Which one???? They're both gorgeous. Ack!!!. Decisions are hard. Especially when it's late.
Maybe I should sleep on it.
