The dehumidifier and the air conditioner run non-stop in the Leonardtown shop to keep the moisture down. It makes the shop air really nice, but it makes me freeze. Yesterday I grabbed the Alder Wrap sample and put it around my neck. It was so light, but it did keep me warm. I didn't expect it to go with the multi-colored tapestry vest I had on, but you know, it actually did. We took it off and put it on everyone in the shop to see if it would go with what they were wearing, and it was quite remarkable to see how well this wrap blended with each woman's outfit.
Alder Wrap worn as a scarf - my favorite |
Nicole was very taken with the wrap and said, "Hey, could you kit that up for me?" Her comment clicked with me, so I put together a kit in a crisp cellophane bag with a big pink ribbon for her. It looked really cute, and she was really pleased. Ginni and I decided to put together several "kits" for the Alder Wrap so getting the yarn is totally hassle-free. Just grab one of the bags with the pink ribbon and you'll have all the colors in just the right quantities all ready to go.
It's a great project to put in a large basket and keep at home to knit in front of the tv. Why? Two reasons: first, it's simple, stockinette pattern so you don't have to think while you knit, and second, the colors are so beautiful together, your basket of yarns will be a lovely addition to your fall decor!
Come get yours today and you'll be sporting a fabulous Alder Wrap of your very own.
