You know how when you go shopping for something specific garment, you can almost never find it. Then when you're out with absolutely no intention of buying anything, you find dozens of totally great things that are just exactly what you didn't even know you needed! So, yesterday was that kind of day for me, only it was about patterns. I was looking at a design by the lovely Laura Nelkins that she published on Knitty when I ran across this adorable little jacket. I LOVE this thing. Knitted in super chunky yarn on size 13 needles, you know it's going to knit up in no time flat.
I'm envisioning this in the yarns we used for Brigitta - Sundae or Ushya. I love the idea of working it in complimentary colors of each. Here's another couple of views.
I spent all day thinking about this project and the yarn for it. The brown Sundae is calling to me - perhaps with the lovely brown Sulka for the trim. Mmmmm. You like? Get the pattern here.
