This wonderful pattern was a big hit at our June First Friday knit along. We made this mainly in Spud and Chloe Sweater - a wonderful easy care blend of cotton and wool
Martha has been knitting one in a lovely natural shade of green organic cotton from Blue Sky Alpaca. she had just bound off and I made her put it on last Wednesday night. We were all enjoying a little wine, so even the very perfect and precise Martha could be coaxed into modeling it although she hadn't woven in all the ends (gasp!) Doesn't she look great!
Ginni in Leonardtown had a wonderful idea to work the Summer Wrap in the beautiful Debbie Bliss Luxury Tweed, thus making it a Fall (or Winter) Wrap. Simply smashing--isn't this shade so Ginni!
Ginni is such a fantastic knitter that she was complaining (whining, actually) that this was "Soooo boring" to knit. Ah well, one woman's boring is another woman's soothing. I started on in the wonderful Kathmandu Aran Tweed the same day Ginni started hers. Mine is uh, well, uh...you have to promise not to laugh if I show you...
I know, sad but true. Fortunately, we're not keeping score...not officially, anyway. ;-)
