  • Noro for Kids? Oh yeah!

    May 10, 2010 1 min read

I’ve always thought that Noro colors were just made for kids—so bright and fun, kids are immediately drawn to them—but easy care? not so much.  However, Noro has introduced several, new easy-care fibers that open the world of Noro up for kid wear.  These cotton blends, however, are machine washable (cold water, gentle cycle), and super soft against children's delicate skin.

This season, Jane Ellison, one of my favorite Noro designers, has given us an entire collection of beautiful ’s garments in the spectacular cotton Noro yarns.

All three of these garments are in Aya, a beautiful a blend of 50% cotton, 35% Silk, and 15% wool.  Aya is happy on a size 6 or 7 needle has a generous 137 yards per skein.

Here are a few more adorable garments in Aya.  Too cute!
I love little kid garments because they're so small and work up so quickly.

TIP:  Always make kids garments a little too long - they grow taller much faster than they grow in girth!
