Yesterday brought us the first of the new yarn from Sublime - remember the fabulous angora merino blend you read about in the newsletter? Well it’s finally here. Really good colors, and the newest set of patterns for the entire sublime line. There’s a new book for babies, as well as new designs for both the Aran and DK weights.

Along with that shipment was the new book from Jane Ellison, Pure Noro. She is so creative, it just blows my mind. There are several fabulous new designs for Kureyon, Cashmere Island, Silk Mountain, and Silver Thaw. And speaking of Silver Thaw, I’ve been working up the Joyella Pullover in Silver Thaw. I really like this project because it’s interesting to knit but still easy. And it’s worked one hexagon at a time, so there’s that wonderful sense of completion each time you finish one. Silver Thaw is put up with SO much yardage –you can knit three hexagons from a single skein
