If you're already a subscriber to Berroco's Knit Bits, then you received the free pattern for this adorable little stocking pattern in your e-mail this morning. It's knit with 200 yard of basic wool and Plush, the softest bit of fluff you've ever seen. And if you've got a hankering to try sock knitting, this is a nice way to ease in. It's worked on two size 8 circular needles (no tiny double points), and you'll learn a really cool smocking pattern. I recommend Cascade 220 for the body of the stocking. You'll only need one skein of each color, and we have a great selection of reds and greens. Come by the shop and select your favorite combination, and you could have a stocking done before Halloween!

If you're not a subscriber, just go to their site and enter your e-mail address. They send out one e-mail each Friday morning - no ads, no spam. They also have an archive of really terrific free patterns.
