Ginni
Stein
has been knitting longer than any of us,
and while she denies it, she is doubtless the most accomplished knitter on
staff. The vest she's wearing in this photo was knit on size 1 needles
and has short row ribbing and grafted bind off for the trim. Bouts of
this caliber of knitting for Ginni usually come on the heels of her weeks of
mindless knitting for the St. Andrews Church bazaar.
If you've dropped a stitch in your lace project, Ginni can
find it. If you've twisted a cable incorrectly 10 rows back, Ginni can
straighten it out.
Ginni was reluctant to commit herself to a regular job, but she could see
that I was in desperate scrapes with Kathy going away, so she agreed to
"just fill in".
I'm glad to say that Ginni seems to have made herself absolutely
indispensible at the shop and currently has more hours in Leonardtown than
any other staff member. Stop by and see Ginni Tuesday and Wednesday
afternoons, and all day Friday. You'll catch her on the golf course
Wednesday mornings when the weather is nice.
